Changan has started pre-sales for the Nevo Q06 in China, adding a larger, more powerful SUV above the Nevo Q05 already familiar to many Nepali buyers. The Q06 combines an 800V high-voltage EV platform, ultra-fast 6C charging and a choice of pure-electric or range-extender powertrains.

In Nepal, MAW Vriddhi has already introduced the **Deepal Nevo Q05 as the entry point to the Nevo family. The Q05 sits at Rs 46.99 lakh – Rs 51.99 lakh across four variants — Nevo Q05 MaxNADA: Rs 46.99 lakh, Max: Rs 48.99 lakh, Nevo Q05 UltraNADA: Rs 49.99 lakh, and Ultra: Rs 51.99 lakh. Above it in Deepal’s local line-up are the Deepal S05 at Rs 57.99 lakh – Rs 62.99 lakh, Deepal L07 at Rs 70 lakh, Deepal S07 at Rs 74.99 lakh, Deepal S07L EV at Rs 84.99 lakh, and the flagship Deepal E07 at Rs 109.90 lakh – Rs 199.99 lakh. This places the Q06, if and when it comes, logically above the Q05 but below the largest, most expensive Deepal models**.

Nevo Q06 powertrain and performance

  • Pure-electric versions of the Nevo Q06 use an 800V silicon-carbide high-voltage platform. This allows 6C fast charging, with Changan claiming the battery can go from 30% to 80% in about 9 minutes.
  • The pure-electric Q06 is offered with four battery capacities: 63.18 kWh, 66.02 kWh, 72.54 kWh and 80.02 kWh. Depending on the pack, the SUV has a maximum claimed EV range of up to 700 km on a single charge.

  • Buyers in China can choose between single-motor and dual-motor layouts. Single-motor variants are rated at 302 hp or 329 hp, while the dual-motor version delivers 443 hp. The dual-motor Q06 can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, putting it in performance EV territory.
  • A range-extender version is also part of the line-up. With its engine-generator and battery working together, Changan quotes a combined driving range of up to 1,600 km, aimed at drivers who want EV-style running with very long distance capability.

Size and practicality

The Nevo Q06 is positioned as a larger SUV than the Q05:

  • Length: 4,837 mm
  • Width: 1,970 mm
  • Height: 1,670 mm
  • Wheelbase: 2,940 mm

For luggage, it provides a 196-liter front trunk (frunk) and a 782-liter rear cargo area, which should comfortably cover family trips and long highway runs.

Cabin and tech features

Inside, the Q06 debuts Changan’s SDA Cockpit 2.0 with AI-powered functions. Key comfort and entertainment features include:

  • Heated, ventilated and massaging seats
  • A 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen for passengers
  • An integrated refrigerator in the cabin

These features aim to make long journeys more comfortable, especially when paired with the long driving ranges of the EV and range-extender variants.

Intelligent driving and safety tech

With the Q06, Changan is also rolling out its new SDA Pilot intelligent driving system. The SUV offers LiDAR across the range, with higher variants getting more powerful computing hardware and advanced AI-based driving functions. This points to features like enhanced adaptive cruise, lane assistance and more sophisticated driver-support systems, though exact feature lists will vary by market.

Where this leaves Nepali buyers

For now, the Nevo Q06 has not been announced for Nepal, and no Nepal pricing or launch date has been confirmed. This development is important for local buyers mainly because it shows the direction of future Nevo and Deepal SUVs, especially around 800V charging, faster long-distance capability and richer cabin tech.

With the Deepal Nevo Q05 already on sale in Nepal from Rs 46.99 lakh to Rs 51.99 lakh, and larger Deepal models stretching up to Rs 199.99 lakh, any future arrival of the Q06 would likely sit above the Q05 in size and performance while undercutting the very top-end Deepal E07 on price. For now, it remains a China-market pre-sale development that Nepali buyers should watch as a possible next step in the brand’s EV roadmap.
