BGauss has added the C12 MaxR electric scooter to its line-up, targeted at buyers who want long range and modern connectivity features.
It is priced well above the BG OOwah Max EV at Rs 2.77 lakh – Rs 2.78 lakh, and the wider OOwah Max line at Rs 0.95 lakh – Rs 6.10 lakh.
Design and build
The C12 MaxR uses the WSA platform made from high-tensile micro-alloy steel. Ground clearance is 160 mm, and the scooter is rated to carry up to 150 kg. It has a compact body with two-tone panels, an LED headlight and a 5-inch TFT instrument console. Riders get under-seat storage and a lockable front compartment for small items.
Features and tech
This scooter focuses on everyday convenience. Key features include:
- Turn-by-turn navigation
- Wireless charging pad for devices
- Umbrella holder, mobile holder and bottle holder
- Multiple riding modes, reverse mode and cruise control
- Connected functions via the TFT screen
Battery, range and performance
Power comes from a 3.8 kWh battery. The company claims an IDC-certified range of 178 km on a single charge. The electric motor delivers 4.2 kW peak power, and the C12 MaxR is said to reach over 75 kmph top speed.
For Nepali buyers already familiar with BG C12 and BG RUV 350, the C12 MaxR reads as a more premium, longer-range option in the BG lineup, with smart features that make it one of the more future-ready scooters in this price band.
