Laxmi e-Mobility, the official distributor for BAIC and Arcfox in Nepal, is gearing up to bring the Arcfox T1 electric crossover to the Nepali market before the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. According to the distributor, this timing will allow interested buyers to see and test the vehicle ahead of its formal public display at the country’s biggest mobility event.

Compact electric crossover for city use

The Arcfox T1 is a compact electric model that blends hatchback practicality with SUV-style design, targeting urban families and first-time EV buyers. According to the announcement, the T1 measures around 4,337 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and about 1,572–1,573 mm in height, with a wheelbase of roughly 2,770 mm. This footprint is similar to many compact SUVs already on sale in Nepal, but with a lower, more hatchback-like profile.

Inside, the T1 is designed to seat five passengers, with a long wheelbase helping to free up cabin space. Overseas previews highlight a modern dashboard layout, leather-style upholstery in higher trims, and a focus on simple, youth-oriented styling rather than heavy off-road features.

Motor, battery and range

International specifications show the T1 using a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor. In markets like China, Arcfox offers versions with up to 70–95 kW of power (roughly 94–127 PS) and peak torque of about 176 Nm, driving the front wheels through a single-speed automatic transmission.

The battery is a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) pack, with capacities around 42.3–42.4 kWh, depending on variant. According to Arcfox’s CLTC test figures, the T1 can offer a claimed driving range of up to 425 km on a full charge in its longer-range version. Shorter-range versions abroad are rated closer to 320–350 km.

Fast charging capability has been highlighted in the Chinese market, where the T1 can charge from roughly 30% to 80% in under 20 minutes on suitable DC chargers. Exact charging times and charger compatibility for Nepal will depend on the final specification and local charging infrastructure.

Expected price and variants for Nepal

No official price has yet been announced for Nepal. However, based on international pricing and early local estimates, industry observers expect the Arcfox T1 to be positioned around Rs 45–50 lakh in Nepal, depending on the variant and tax structure, with several trim levels likely.

The initial model confirmed for Nepal is the Arcfox T1, with Laxmi e-Mobility indicating a launch window in the coming months ahead of the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. Detailed features, safety equipment and final prices are expected to be disclosed closer to launch.

For Nepali buyers, the Arcfox T1 will add another option in the growing compact EV crossover segment, competing with existing small electric SUVs and hatchbacks on range, space and value.
