Triumph Motorcycles has officially unveiled the 2027 Tiger 1200, introducing significant updates to its engine, chassis, and safety technology. The global reveal took place on October 27, 2026.
At the heart of the motorcycle is an updated 1,160cc, liquid-cooled, three-cylinder engine. It now produces 156 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. This represents an increase of 8 bhp over the previous version. Engineers have revised the gearbox and shaft drive to improve refinement and low-speed performance.
The 2027 model introduces Bosch radar systems at both the front and rear. These enable features such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot assistance, forward collision warnings, and emergency braking assistance.
Handling is managed by Showa EERA semi-active suspension. The system includes HeightFlex technology, which automatically lowers the seat height by 30 mm when the bike stops. Both the front 49mm upside-down fork and the rear monoshock provide 200mm of wheel travel.
Technology upgrades include a new 7-inch HD TFT touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. A waterproof storage compartment on the fuel tank now features a USB-C charging port and a cooling fan. The adaptive LED headlamp adjusts its beam based on the motorcycle's lean angle.
The lineup consists of four variants: GT Pro, Rally Pro, GT Explorer, and Rally Explorer. All models use a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the UK in December 2026. The 2027 Tiger 1200 represents a comprehensive update to Triumph's flagship adventure platform.
