TVS Motor Company’s new Apache RTX 300 adventure motorcycle is on track to enter the Nepali market, with Jagdamba Motors reportedly testing the bike on local roads ahead of an official launch.
Industry reports suggest the RTX 300 is likely to arrive in Nepal in early to mid‑2026, following its launch in India at prices starting around INR 1.99 lakh for the base variant and going up to INR 2.29 lakh for higher trims. Converted and adjusted for local duties, Nepali dealers and auto portals currently expect the price to fall roughly between Rs 6.5 lakh and Rs 7 lakh, though TVS Nepal has not yet published a final figure.
Engine and performance
The Apache RTX 300 is built on TVS’s new 300cc platform and uses a 299.1cc, single‑cylinder, liquid‑cooled, DOHC, 4‑valve engine developed specifically for this model. According to TVS’s launch information and regional coverage, the engine produces around 36 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, paired with a 6‑speed gearbox.
TVS has focused on thermal management for long rides by using a dual‑cooling approach (liquid cooling with additional airflow management) to help the engine maintain stable temperatures on extended tours.

Rider aids and electronics
The RTX 300 comes with multiple riding modes such as Urban, Rain, Tour and Rally, allowing riders to adapt throttle response and electronic intervention to different road and weather conditions.
To reduce fatigue on highways, the bike offers cruise control, a feature still uncommon in this displacement class. It also includes a bi‑directional quickshifter for clutchless upshifts and downshifts, plus a slipper and assist clutch to lighten lever effort and reduce rear‑wheel hop during hard downshifts.
A 5‑inch colour TFT instrument cluster with TVS’s SmartXonnect connectivity provides turn‑by‑turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and music controls when paired with a smartphone, giving riders access to modern touring functions.
Brakes, suspension and off‑road hardware

For challenging terrain, the RTX 300 is equipped with traction control and switchable rear ABS, so riders can turn off rear ABS when riding off‑road on loose surfaces.
The suspension setup includes 41 mm USD front forks and a preload‑adjustable rear monoshock. The motorcycle runs on a 19‑inch front wheel and 17‑inch rear wheel, with about 200 mm of ground clearance and block‑pattern tubeless tyres aimed at mixed on‑road and off‑road use. This combination is particularly relevant for Nepal’s varied road conditions, from broken tarmac to gravel and light trails.
Touring practicality and customization
TVS has provided mounting points for panniers and a top box, making it easier for riders to add hard or soft luggage for long‑distance travel.
A key part of the package is TVS’s Built‑To‑Order (BTO) program. Buyers can factory‑configure the bike with approved accessories and optional equipment – for example different seats, luggage solutions or protection parts – to better match commuting, touring or more off‑road‑focused use.
Position in Nepal’s market
Once officially launched, the TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to compete with other adventure‑oriented 250–300cc motorcycles sold in Nepal, such as the KTM 250 Adventure and Suzuki V‑Strom SX 250. With its new‑generation engine, electronic rider aids, touring features and an anticipated price band of around Rs 6.5–7 lakh, it is positioned to be a serious option for Nepali riders looking for a single bike that can handle daily city rides, long highway journeys and occasional off‑road exploration.
