A serious road accident at Chobhar in Kathmandu has again shown how quickly things can go wrong on busy routes used daily by Nepali vehicle owners.
According to police, a passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 2719), a tanker (Ba 2 Kha 7209) and a motorcycle collided on Tuesday afternoon along the Chobhar section of the Ring Road area.
Injuries and treatment
- Total injured: 10 people were hurt in the crash.
- Police from Kirtipur circle report that 9 injured persons are being treated at nearby local health facilities close to the accident site.
- 1 person has been admitted to Kirtipur Hospital for further observation.
- According to police, all 10 injured are currently in normal, stable condition.
No deaths had been reported at the time of writing. Doctors are monitoring the injured.
Police investigation under way
Traffic police have opened an investigation into how the bus, tanker and motorcycle came to collide on the same stretch of road. Officers are looking into factors such as:

- Road condition and visibility at the time
