Simple Energy has unveiled the Wave electric scooter in India with prices starting at about Rs 1.75 lakh in Nepali currency (around INR 1.09 lakh) and going up across six variants depending on battery size.

Motor, frame and practicality
The Wave uses a tubular steel frame with a PMSM motor and chain-drive setup. Under-seat practicality is a focus, with 70 litres main storage plus 4 litres additional storage, giving 74 litres total and a 150 kg payload capacity.
Charging and ride modes
There are three riding modes – Ride, Eco and EcoX. With a 750 W portable charger, the Wave Plus can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in about 2 hours 15 minutes, useful for overnight or office parking top-ups.
Suspension, brakes and features
The scooter gets a telescopic fork at the front, dual shock absorbers at the rear, front disc brake and rear drum brake. Depending on variant, buyers get either a 5-inch EBN display or a 7-inch TFT screen.
Key connected and safety features include Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, GPS tracking, traction control, regenerative braking, hill-hold assist, reverse mode and OTA software updates.
For now, no Nepal distributor, price or launch timeline has been announced, so the Wave remains an India-market model only, but its range and storage make it a product Nepali city riders may want to watch.
