JSW MG Motor is set to bring the MG Hector Tomahawk EV, a three-row electric SUV, to the Nepali market. The model seats up to seven and is based on the **Wuling Eksion EV** already on sale here. It gets its own exterior, interior and feature set under the MG badge.
Positioning within MG's Nepal range
The Hector Tomahawk EV will sit alongside the existing Hector petrol SUV in Nepal. That range spans Rs 64.99 lakh to Rs 78.25 lakh across five variants: Shine (MT) at Rs 64.99 lakh, Smart (MT) at Rs 67.99 lakh, Smart (CVT) at Rs 70.60 lakh, Sharp (MT) at Rs 73.99 lakh, and Sharp (CVT) at Rs 78.25 lakh.
Among MG's electric models, the closest in price and positioning today are the MG ZS EV and the MG MGS6 EV. The MG MGS5 EV costs Rs 43.99 lakh to Rs 55.99 lakh, while the MG Astor and MG IM6 sit at either end of the broader line-up. Kuzu Nepal hasn't announced a price for the Hector Tomahawk EV or for most of these electric and crossover variants yet. The new SUV is expected to slot in around these models. Official Nepal pricing is still pending.
Shared hardware with Wuling Eksion EV
The Hector Tomahawk EV is essentially an MG-badged twin of the **Wuling Eksion EV, listed in Nepal at Rs 57.99 lakh for its single variant. Both SUVs share: - 69.2 kWh battery pack - 150 kW electric motor - 310 Nm of torque - A three-row layout with up to seven seats**
Dimensions and practicality
The Hector Tomahawk EV measures 4,745 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,770 mm in height, with a 2,810 mm wheelbase and 230 mm ground clearance. In markets where it's already on sale, buyers can choose between five-seat and seven-seat configurations.
The five-seat layout gives 610 litres of luggage space. The seven-seat version offers 192 litres with all three rows up, but folding the third row expands that to 528 litres. Families can switch between passenger and cargo space depending on the trip.
Performance and range
Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor rated at 150 kW and 310 Nm, drawing from the 69.2 kWh battery. MG claims a MIDC-certified range of 517 km on a full charge. The 0–100 km/h sprint is quoted at 8.2 seconds.
Charging options
The Hector Tomahawk EV supports DC fast charging up to 90 kW. A 30–80 percent top-up takes about 35 minutes on a compatible fast charger. On a 7.4 kW AC charger, a 10 to 100 percent charge takes roughly 12.5 hours. That's enough for a full overnight charge at home.
Exterior and interior highlights
Outside, the SUV gets LED projector headlamps, daytime running lights (DRLs), an illuminated MG badge, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a powered tailgate. Inside, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster anchor the cabin.
Connectivity features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and MG's i-SMART connected technology with over 30 Hinglish voice commands. There's also a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 256-colour ambient lighting, a 10-speaker Infinity audio system, rear window sunshades, and a driver's seat with memory function.
The Hector Tomahawk EV comes with themed cabin modes too — Nap, Camp, Energise, Pro Pet, Valet and Quiet. Each one adjusts seat position, climate control and in-car entertainment for a different use case.
Safety and power export functions
Safety kit includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a set of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The SUV also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L), vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-home (V2H) functionality. This lets the battery power external devices, charge another EV, or supply a home when conditions allow.
Nepal launch status
JSW MG Motor has confirmed plans to bring the Hector Tomahawk EV to Nepal. A launch date and local price haven't been disclosed yet. For buyers eyeing a three-row electric SUV, this will effectively be the MG-branded alternative to the Wuling Eksion EV at Rs 57.99 lakh. It runs the same core hardware. The design, feature set and badge are different.
