Dhanauji Rural Municipality in Dhanusha has started distributing driving licenses directly from its local office. This initiative aims to simplify the process for residents who have already passed their examinations.
The service is available to locals who successfully completed the practical and written tests conducted by the Transport Management Offices in Janakpurdham and Bardibas. Rural Municipality Chairman Rajkumar Sah confirmed that the office has already begun issuing the first batch of documents. This initial phase covers 45 residents who passed the trial examination at the Bardibas transport office.
This change removes the need for local service seekers to travel to distant transport offices to collect their documents. Officials expect this to save both time and travel expenses for people living in the rural area.
