CG Motors Pvt. Ltd., the official GAC distributor in Nepal, has responded after a fatal fire involving an Aion Y in Bharatpur. The company said it is waiting for the official findings from Nepal Police and other government agencies.
The Aion Y itself is listed at Rs 58.50 lakh ex-showroom.
The fire happened on September 11 at Basant Chowk, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-9, Chitwan. A man identified as Amar Parajuli died in the incident.
CG Motors said the vehicle maker will inspect the damaged car and later publish its own report. It also asked people not to treat unverified social media posts as facts before the probe is complete.
This is now a matter for investigators. For Nepal EV buyers, the key point is simple: the cause has not been confirmed yet, and the company says it will wait for a scientific finding before drawing a line under the case.
