What owners actually said

Every line below says which it is. A quote is somebody's own words on the platform named. A summary is ours, drawn from published coverage — and never put inside quote marks.

“50 किमी रेन्ज दिने डब्बालाई 3.5 लाख? Are you kidding?”

After a year and about 2,500 km of use around Kathmandu, the NQi Sport has been reliable and cheap to run, but I wish it had more range and better suspension for rougher roads.

Our summary, not a quoteReported by arun.sh

“NQi Sport’s top speed around 48 km/h (Nepal‑spec) and 75 km per charge are fine for the city, but against Ntorq the main advantage is much lower fuel cost over five years.”

Owner’s own wordsYouTube comment

Nepal EV buyer guide rates NQi Sport only 2.5/5, praising performance but criticizing below‑average range and lack of fast charging for our market.

“Love my NQi Sport and would buy it again, but the under‑seat space is too narrow, so storing a helmet under there is annoying.”

Price, service, resale and roads — here

  • Official Nepal pricing is in the ~Rs 3.48–3.53 lakh range depending on color/variant, which buyers compare closely with petrol scooters like TVS Ntorq and other EVs
  • Nepali owners report that daily city commuting in Kathmandu/Pokhara within ~20–30 km per day is comfortable within the NQi Sport’s range, but long inter‑city or hilly rides are not practical on a single charge
  • Public charging infrastructure for two‑wheelers is still limited, so most Nepal users rely on home or workplace charging, making apartment living without dedicated parking a concern
  • Service and spares are available through NIU Nepal showrooms in major cities (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Pokhara, Birtamode, Butwal), but buyers outside these hubs worry about after‑sales support and parts availability
  • Resale value data is sparse; discussions suggest EV scooters in Nepal generally have uncertain resale due to battery degradation concerns, and NQi Sport is seen similarly
  • Street clearance (ground clearance 130 mm) may be low for rural or hilly Nepali roads
  • price is quite high in Nepal (Rs 3,48,000–3,53,000) making resale concerns intense
  • service centres and official dealers exist in major cities like Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Pokhara, Chitwan

What owners rate

  • Technology dharai ramro man pardo xa
  • Strong acceleration and performance for city use, feels more powerful than typical 125cc-equivalent scooters
  • Very low running cost per km compared to petrol scooters when charged at home in Nepal
  • Quiet, comfortable ride with good handling for urban commuting
  • Build quality and reliability generally rated as good, with few major breakdowns reported in owner reviews
  • Smart features (app connectivity, remote monitoring) appreciated by tech‑oriented Nepali buyers
  • range is decent (≈ 80 km) for city commuting
  • battery is removable which allows charging at home or office

What they complain about

  • 50 किमी रेन्ज दिने डब्बालाई 3.5 लाख? Are you kidding?
  • bato maa... jpt scooty dekhaayara hunchha
  • 15 हजार बचाउनु भनेको निकै कम हो
  • price chai ale mahango sabei la lena sakne khal ko price huna parne
  • Real‑world range around 60–75 km is seen as below average for Nepal EV segment, limiting longer commutes or hilly rides
  • No fast‑charging support, full charge typically takes 4–5 hours, which some users find inconvenient
  • Under‑seat storage is small; many owners cannot fit a full‑face helmet and complain about limited boot space
  • High upfront price in Nepal compared to some local EV scooters and petrol alternatives
