Chery is preparing to debut the Fengyun T7 pure-electric SUV in China on 26 August 2026, with pre-sales already open.
Price and positioning
- The compact SUV is offered in three variants, with Chinese pre-sale prices between USD 15,300 and USD 18,100. - At current exchange rates, that is roughly Rs 20–24 lakh before any taxes or duties if it ever comes to Nepal.
Dimensions and exterior
- The Fengyun T7 is a compact SUV measuring 4,570 mm in length, 1,852 mm in width and 1,694 mm in height, with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. - It uses a streamlined body with dual LED headlamps featuring adaptive high and low beams. - Other exterior details include large front air intakes, chrome window trim, black lower body cladding and 17- or 18-inch black alloy wheels. - At the back, it gets a full-width LED tail-light, a rear spoiler and a power tailgate as standard.
Cabin and features
- Inside, the SUV has a wraparound-style cockpit with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen. - The infotainment system runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8775 cockpit chip and supports Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar and Carlink. - Key comfort features include a panoramic sunroof, 50W wireless phone charging, heated and ventilated front seats and an eight-speaker Sony sound system. - Higher variants come with Chery’s Falcon 500 driver-assistance system, which adds highway assisted driving functions.
Battery, range and performance
- Power is from a front-mounted single electric motor producing 178 kW and 275 Nm of torque. - All versions use a 65.05 kWh LFP battery pack with a claimed 600 km pure-electric range on the Chinese test cycle. - The battery supports fast charging from 30% to 80% in around 20 minutes. - The chassis uses MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link independent suspension at the rear.
There is no confirmation yet for a Nepal launch or pricing, but the Fengyun T7’s 600 km claimed range and fast-charging LFP battery make it a model Nepali buyers may want to watch if Chery or a local partner decides to bring it here.
