Maruti Suzuki has introduced the 2026 Brezza facelift in the Indian market with a new turbo‑petrol engine, updated design and added safety tech, according to the launch announcement. The compact SUV is already a known name in Nepal in its current generation.

Pricing and market position

  • Official prices in India start from Rs 7.4 lakh ex‑showroom as per the announcement.
  • Converted roughly for reference, this comes to around Rs 11.8–12 lakh in Nepalese currency (before any taxes and duties).

Final Nepal prices will be higher once the facelifted model is imported, because of customs duties, excise and dealer margins. Buyers here can still expect it in the same ballpark as the current Brezza and other compact SUVs from Maruti Suzuki and rival brands.

Exterior changes

The 2026 update gives the Brezza a sharper look while keeping the familiar compact SUV stance.

  • New front grille design with revised detailing.
  • Reworked front and rear bumpers and fog lamp housings.
  • New 16‑inch dual‑tone alloy wheels.
  • Existing twin‑pod LED headlamps and LED tail-lamps are carried over.

These changes are mostly cosmetic. They clearly separate the facelift from the current model sold in Nepal.

Interior and features

Inside, Maruti Suzuki has revised the colour theme and added more equipment.

  • New black and brown dual‑tone cabin with gloss black inserts.
  • Larger 10.1‑inch touchscreen infotainment system.
  • Climate control panel shared with Maruti’s newer models (described as from “Victoris” in the announcement).
  • Added comfort features such as ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging and an air purifier.

With these additions, the Brezza moves closer to newer compact SUVs in terms of cabin feel and convenience.

Safety upgrades

According to the announcement, the facelifted Brezza gets a wider set of safety features.

  • 360‑degree camera
  • Blind‑spot monitoring
  • Rear cross‑traffic alert
  • Safe‑exit warning
  • Front parking sensors
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)

For Nepali buyers, this level of safety kit is a clear upgrade over earlier Brezza variants that offered more basic technology.

Engines and variants

The biggest mechanical change is the addition of a new turbo‑petrol option.

  • New 1.0‑litre direct‑injection turbo‑petrol: about 108 hp and 170 Nm, paired with a 6‑speed manual gearbox, according to the launch details.
  • Existing 1.5‑litre naturally aspirated petrol continues with 6‑speed manual and 6‑speed automatic options.
  • CNG variant remains on sale, now using under‑body CNG tanks to free up more boot space.

For Nepal, Maruti Suzuki has so far mainly offered the 1.5‑litre petrol. It remains to be seen whether the new 1.0‑litre turbo and the updated CNG layout will be made available here.

Colours and relevance for Nepal

The 2026 Brezza facelift is offered in seven paint options, including new shades called Vivacious Orange and Lustrous Beige.

For Nepali customers, the key point is that a more feature‑rich, safer Brezza with a turbo‑petrol option is now in production in India. Once Maruti Suzuki’s Nepal distributor decides to bring it here, buyers can expect:

  • Improved features and safety compared to the current Brezza.
  • A choice between economical 1.5‑litre petrol, new 1.0‑litre turbo (if offered), and CNG in markets where CNG infrastructure is viable.

Official launch plans and pricing for Nepal have not been announced yet; these details are based on the Indian launch information shared by Maruti Suzuki.
