Ather EL 01 electric scooter could debut in Nepal as early as this month

Indian EV maker Ather Energy is expected to introduce a new EL 01 electric scooter during its Ather Community Day 2026 event in August, according to early reports.

New EL platform

The EL 01 will sit on Ather’s new EL platform, developed to reach more buyers with scalable production and simpler manufacturing. The same base is planned to support several future Ather electric scooters at different price and performance levels.

Expected features and battery options

Reports suggest the EL 01 could offer: - Digital instrument cluster around 5–7 inches - Front disc brake with rear drum brake - Battery choices from about 2 kWh to 5 kWh

With these battery packs, the scooter is expected to deliver around 160–200 km range on a full charge, depending on variant.

Details still unofficial

Ather has not yet officially revealed the motor power, exact battery specs or full feature list for the EL 01. There is also no announced plan or date for Nepal entry, so Nepali buyers should treat these details as early expectations rather than confirmed specifications.
